Praying in the Technology Age

As I was saying herethe Americans are a very religious nation
+
In US you can make money out of almost everything (to be read: if there’s money in it -> somebody will do it, no matter how dumb, ridiculous, far fetched, etc it is)
+
People’s time is very limited (define: Workaholic)
You get:
Information Age Prayer -a subscription service utilizing a computer with text-to-speech capability to incant your prayers each day. WTF? So, you can make your computer say your prayers and help you create a connection with God. Hahaha. What matters that the “incantations” have you as origin, right? The all mighty/all knowing God you’re praying to cannot tell the difference. :)
Here is how it works according to the site’s FAQ:

Are the prayers meaningless, will subscribing really make a difference?
As with all prayer, the final results are up to God as everything follows His will. We make no claims regarding the efficacy of the service, however it is our opinion that the omniscient God hears the prayers when they are voiced, as He hears everything on this Earth. The omniscient God knows exactly who has subscribed and who each prayer is from when their name is displayed on screen and their prayer voiced. He is also aware of all donations to charity from each subscriber and we can surely make a difference in these charities supported.

Now that we saw this, and assuming that it actually works let’s see how much it would cost to save your soul this way: Let’s say you’re a Catholic and you choose the “Catholic Morning Prayer” package. It costs 19.95$/month. Let’s also say you start using it for yourself when you’re 18 and you live 75 years: (19.95* 12 * (75-18)) = 13645.8. That’s perfectly acceptable for saving your soul and enjoying eternity in Heaven. There’s only one problem: whay happens if it doesn’t work that way and your laptop gets the nice flufly cloud, above the endless green grass fields, instead of you?
And the version for cheapskates that already have some version of Windows: it’s called Narator and basically can read things on screen. Ideea: Use it for yor prayers.
