Romanians live with the though that their country is uncivilized.
That people over there are rude and misbehaved. That common sense
is extremly rare and so on.
I also used to think like that.
Here in the US you won’t see something like that. No sir, over here
people know how to behave and always do the right thing. Or do
they?
I was in my car, on the highway, the other day. Since there road
was undergoing repairs, only two lanes could be used. So the two
usable lanes were overcrowded and moving at a slow pace.
In a Honda in front of my car there were two women. Due to road
conditions I saw that the one on the right, at some point, started
to brush her hair. Who would do that in a car? You’ll get hair all
over. But wait… there’s more. The young lady decided to get rid
of the hair that was stucked to her hairbrush by throwing it
through the opened car window. Amazing. Now everybody that goes
through there could enjoy her hair.
There you go. So it doesn’t matter where you are. There will still
be misbehaved people around.
So what matters most is the fines you must pay if you get caught.
Litter and it will hurt.
