Today is our “1 year in the US” aniversary.
I remember like yesterday how we landed in Dulles International Airport - our port of entry (or IAD for short). Did you know that IAD means hell in Romanian? Kind of funny right now, not very funny at first since some of our experiences were near hell-like. We had to learn the way people here in US think to better understand their lifestyle and choices. We saw that some things are universally true (you can call it human nature), while other really are specific to certain cultures and geographic areas.
Overall, it was a good year - with its ups and downs. Keeping our fingers crossed and… living the “dream”
