Today’s topic: Money Making in the US
The way people view and treat money is pretty much the same as back in the Romania. No matter how many money you have it’s never enough. What sets apart people with money in the US from people with money in Romania is the background.
You cannot make money in the US if you don’t have a background, a history, some roots that can help you in your adventure. You hear all the time that hard work pays off and if you really work hard you will make it big (which is basically the essence of the American Dream). The truth is that if you didn’t take the right path in life - education and right career path - and if your folks didn’t have enough money to help you take the right path and stay on it you are nothing than a mere slave destined to help other make more money. There are exceptions, but that’s all they are… exceptions. It’s harsh, but life’s not easy.
As far as people who have all the right ingredients… everybody dream of big things. Nobody wants to be a small piece that makes the big machine move. What everybody does want is to be at the controls of the big machines. Decision making. Risk taking.
