There were some times when The_Wait used to by the drive label for
the E drive for my desktop computer. This was derived from a
Metallica song (actually a cover) that you can listen to here:

This is not about either of these. It’s about an actual wait in
line at Best Buy. So it’s about the boring kind of wait. The kind
that leaves you with a dumb look on your face while you hope that
someone will spare a couple of seconds from their precious time to
help you… the customer. Poor bastard. You’re now at the mercy of
the bored employee that doesn’t give a fuck about you, your
problems or your time.
To frame this, the laptop bought from Best Buy was having some
issues with what seemed to be one of its coolers. It was now fixed
and I was supposed to pick it up. Simple operation, right? Two
lines were there in place to separate people who were leaving and
picking up the electronics that they wanted serviced. There was
just one other person in front of me in the pick-up line. How much
did it take? Only 15 minutes. 15 minutes in which I expressed (in
my thoughts, of course) all the warm wishes and season greetings
for the hard working (NOT) people over there. How the f does it
take you 15 minutes to look up someone in the computer and fetch
the stuff that they’re supposed to pick up?
But don’t worry… customer satisfaction is their number one
priority :)
