I just realized that from all the cool places I’ve been too since I
live in the US I’ve left out the nearest one. So, without any
further ado, here is Seattle:
[maptype=G_MAP_TYPE;zoom=12;]
The pictures are focused around the city’s skyline and 2 of the
major landmarks: the Space Needle and Pike Market.
Alki Beach
This is one of the best places to see the skyline. The
Alki neighborhood has
also a significant history importance (this is basically the place
where Seattle came to life and it expanded, somewhere around 1850).
Some pictures:

Kerry Park
Also a good place to see
the skyline and probably the place where the picture on most
Seattle postcards are taken. It is also a far more popular tourist
stop point than Alki. If weather is good you can also see Mt
Rainier breathing down “Seattle’s neck” from here.

Pike Market
This is probably one of the most famous market places in the US.
You can read more about this interesting place on
Wikipedia. It’s
also worth mentioning that the World’s first Starbucks is near. As
a final note about this place: when I first visited Seattle and
heard that a marketplace is a tourist attraction I was a little
confused on how this could be. After you visit it (preferably
during the weekend, around noon) you’ll fully understand why it’s
an attraction :)

In case you’re wondering why the Starbucks has the “crappy”
appearance: well it turn out that’s the original appearance of the
store and for preserving the historical appearance of the area
they’re not allowed to change it :)
Space Needle
Now we come to the Seattle’s landmark sign. If you had to think
about one thing when you say Seattle, you’ll probably think of the
Space Needle. The other way around is also true: when you see a
picture of the Space Needle you instinctively think Seattle :) The
needle
was build in 1962 and stands tall at 605 feet
(184 m). The building is located in the Seattle Center area.
Another spectacular architectural buildings in that area are those
of the
Experience Music Project/Science Fiction Museum.

The Waterfront
Last stop is the waterfront. Enjoy the view of the Puget Sound or
Seattle as seem from below:
